President, Jon Walkley founded Pacific Building Envelope in 2011, specializing in exterior renovations of occupied buildings. With over 35 years of construction experience and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Jon has been active in the Pacific Northwest construction sector since 1996. He leverages his extensive experience in commercial, multi-family, and single-family home construction to accurately prepare and oversee estimates, budgets, and overall construction costs. Jon leads his team through successful and challenging renovations. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor hikes, running, and lounging in the sun with family and friends.

Senior Project Manager, Melissa Davison has been in the construction industry for 10 years with her start in commercial concrete where she managed operations for the Metro Puget Sound Region. She is from the PNW, born and raised, and a graduate of Washington State University with a Master’s degree in Soil Chemistry. Melissa prides herself on being able to rise to any challenge that presents itself and enjoys the feeling of accomplishment when a project is completed on time and under budget with happy customers.  She has three children, two have graduated from college, one from University of Oregon and the other from Oregon State and her youngest will be starting his second year at UO in fall 2024.  For fun, you can usually finder her and her husband either in the woods camping or on the golf course.

Project Engineer, Kyle Walkley entered the construction industry shortly after graduating from University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. After several years at PBE, he decided to obtain his Certificate in Construction Management from his Alma Mater while still working. Kyle has a passion for self-improvement and is constantly looking for ways to expand his knowledge base and grow his skill set. Kyle assists Project Managers and Superintendents on larger projects while managing smaller ones. He often takes care of the day-to-day tasks on large projects so senior management can focus on delivering projects on time to a happy client and architect. Kyle has two miniature dachshunds and enjoys reading, watching films, or listening to music and podcasts in his spare time.

Project Engineer, George Strong has been working in the field of multi-family/residential renovations since 2017.  George started working in the industry as a siding subcontractor.  Wanting to further his skill set he decided to look for a general contractor to work for. In 2022 he worked with PBE as a subcontractor. He was very impressed with how PBE performed as a company and asked to be part of the team.  Since being at PBE, George has continued to grow as a professional. He assists Project Managers on multimillion dollar projects and self manages smaller projects. George has a strong commitment to completing projects on schedule, within budget, and ensuring owners and architects expectations are exceeded.  Outside of work, George fills most of his time enjoying the outdoors by fishing and hunting across Washington state and others nearby.

Superintendent, Luke Cantwell has over twenty years of construction experience which includes commercial tenant improvements, remodels, and building envelope repairs over these years.  Luke started working construction in a family business and later became a journeyman carpenter followed by Superintendent.  He has managed Kinnear Park Condominiums, Eagle Reach Condominiums, Channel Place Condominiums, Mayfair Manor, Stonebridge Condominiums, Seventy-O-One Condominiums, Juanita Bay Condominiums, Canterbury Shores Condominiums, Sonata at Alki, and The Windwatch Condominiums during his time at PBE.  Currently, Luke is managing the Portsmith Condominiums project in Kirkland. Luke maintains a great working relationship with our clients throughout his projects.  His strong commitment for obtaining a quality product, delivered on time, while often exceeding the client’s expectations, makes him an ideal fit for the occupied properties we renovate.

Superintendent, Ashley Hogan began working for PBE’s owner Jon Walkley in 1996.  Ashley began working for Jon as a lead carpenter and over time proved he had the knowledge, organization and temperament to supervise jobs.  He has been placed in the role of superintendent on projects such as the Maxwell Condominiums, Taylor Avenue Condominiums, Islandia Condominiums, East Thomas Condominiums, Whaler’s Village Estate Condominiums, Northgate Plaza, Highland North, Breakwater Condominiums, and currently the 8501 Condominiums.  Ashley's versatility as a working foreman and a superintendent has been invaluable to PBE, Inc. as a company.  He is a 'no nonsense' kind of guy, has the respect of PBE's office staff, field crew, and is always well-liked by homeowners or residents that get a chance to work with him.

Superintendent, Jon Rector has been working in the construction industry for over 30 years and worked his way up from a carpenter to the position of superintendent on multiple large commercial projects. Jon joined PBE in 2024 and has had a clear history of successful projects such as Harrington Place, 1234 Taylor, Portal Over Lake Union, and currently Edmonds Greenery. Jon is highly organized and has an eye for detail that is of great benefit to the type of work PBE performs. Like the rest of the team, Jon is easy to get along with and excels in customer service and clear concise communication.

Lead Foreman, Archie Meigs has a wealth of experience as a carpenter, working foreman and supervisor.  Since 1997 Archie has been a member of owner Jon Walkley’s team and in 2007 began running large scale projects as a superintendent.  Archie has been superintendent on several large multi-family remediation projects, including the Cypress Place Condominium project in Bellingham, WA.  Archie's ability to perform proper flashing & waterproofing techniques is second to none, and is rooted in his past experience as a roofer, where he perfected these skills throughout the mid 80's and 90's.  He has been trained by several manufacturers in the application of their products, including:  James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding, and Pacific Polymers Waterproofing Coatings.  Archie has also chosen to continue his education through courses on Critical Path Scheduling and Field Management offered by Associated General Contractors of Washington. Archie's abilities, attitude, training, and experience always translates into a positive force on jobs he supervises.

Lead Foreman, Roger Hernandez leads our specialized crews in siding installation, window flashing and selective framing repair.  Roger has assisted our superintendents successfully manage projects such as BellCentre Apartment Courtyard Renovation, 7001 Courtyard Waterproofing, Eagle Reach Condominiums Exterior Renovations, Channel Place, Mayfair Manor, Stonebridge Condomininums, 7001 Reclad, Juanita Bay Condominiums, Spinnaker Reach Condominiums, Canterbury Shores Condominiums, Harrington Place Condominiums, and 1234 Taylor. He has extensive experience with various siding systems including those on a rain screen.

Foreman, Gerardo Reyes has been with PBE for since its inception in 2011. Throughout his time with us, he’s progressed from a beginning carpenter all the way to foreman due to his ability to learn quickly and by having a can-do attitude. Gerardo is bi-lingual, has multiple equipment certifications and is very adept at installing and performing quality control for James Hardie siding and Tyvek weather resistive barrier. Gerardo has helped at projects such as Spinnaker Reach, Canterbury Shores, Windwatch Condominiums, Northgate Plaza, Aria at Main, and Breakwater Condominiums.

Foreman, Diego Diez has over 15 years of construction experience. Diego began working for PBE in 2013 as a carpenter and has been growing as a tradesman and leader ever since. Her has worked with our superintendents on jobs such as Bayshore, Bell Venre, Channel Place, One West, Nautica, Northgate Plaza, and Spinnaker Reach Diego has extensive knowledge of fiber cement, Trespa, and vinyl siding and is one of our best window and door installers. He often leads crews in waterproofing and gets along great with clients.
